Journal of Foundations in Childhood Education and Development (JOFCED)

The Journal of Foundations in Childhood Education and Development (JOFCED) is a peer-reviewed, open-access scholarly journal devoted to advancing knowledge and research on the fundamental principles, practices, and policies that influence children’s learning and development from birth to 12 years.

The journal provides an international platform for educators, researchers, policymakers, and practitioners to share evidence-based insights, innovative practices, and critical reflections that strengthen the theoretical and practical foundations of childhood education and development.

 

Aims and Scope

The Journal of Foundations in Childhood Education and Development (JOFCED) seeks to:

  • Promote interdisciplinary research on the cognitive, social, emotional, moral, and physical development of children aged 0–12 years.
  • Explore pedagogical approaches, curricula, and learning environments that foster holistic and inclusive education during early and middle childhood.
  • Advance knowledge on teacher education, classroom practices, assessment, and play-based or inquiry-driven learning.
  • Provide a platform for scholarship on child rights, diversity, equity, inclusion, and culturally responsive education.
  • Bridge the gap between research, policy, and practice in the field of childhood education and development.

JOFCED welcomes both empirical and theoretical contributions, as well as reviews, case studies, and innovative educational practices that address the developmental and educational needs of children from birth through preadolescence.
